2010


Another year passes by. I can say that I have go through a lot this year, but I have lots more to learn and more to achieve.

I gone through my final posting phase during the first 5 months. In primary health sector, infection control, oncology, intensive care and neonate... During these time I also manage to finish my Final Year Project and got to a conclusion that a woman need to ensure that she is in excellent health before even getting pregnant.
A week before LJM, my car broke down... then my father sentence her to be sold..
On the 26th of June, my classmates and I even go through LJM exam and each of us manage to pass without any glitch.

After leaving Kuantan I've become a manic cook... my FB exploded with my cooking... (signs of one who have all the time in the world)
In October, we all go through with our graduation day... and a glorious day it was... with some tears along with it...
I got a call from My Career My Future around November and the day before yesterday was actually my last there there... I could say that I can never be sorry that I gone through the program. I think that it helped me; even a little in my An Nur interview...
we only have another couple more minute before welcoming the year 2011. Good Night... Happy Holiday... May this new year bring more of His blessing

What had shaped you?



I'm attending a program under MOHE; MCMF...

In the first day of the 6 weeks program, the fasilitator asked us a fundamental qustion that made me wonder myself: what had shaped you?


After deep thinking and unfolding of the past, I can conclude that 3 main reasons help in shaping me till who I am today.


Family is an element I dont think no one would deny as one of the elements that shaped them. For me, as both of my parents are very busy, it somehow forced me to be more mature and installed a sense of responsibility into myself. Also, as my mother need to fire the maid when I was young, I started to cook at an early age (for this era).


I am confident enough to say that I am quite a famous person that I have a lot of friends. Be they good or be them bad, but I can say that I'am those lucky few who have friends that I can count to throughout the storm and the sunny days. These group of friends that have accompany me from kindergarten until now is one of my blessing that I'm thankful each day.


Another element that I think have a huge impact to my life is my educational background. My life phase at the Institional of Hira' have shaped me to be someone who I can trust to not be such a bad person if left on her own... (Thank God *phew*). My learning phase at IIUM Kuantan for my Degree in Nursing also helped in shaping me as a human. Watching people struggling to earn each day to live some how bring me a bit to my senses.. how fragile life is... if you dont appreciate it now, you may never have the chance then.. Watching mother give birth to her baby, after all those pain and hardship of bringing a human being to the world, she will love that human being who have just almost killed her...a mother's love... Watch sick children... but they are so happy even while being sick.. How we need to appreciate life....


After writing al this, I need to thank Him for all His blessing everyday for shaping me to the me now... I wouldnt change it for anyhing...

pomodoro, pollo e fungi



doesn't the name seems fancy? its actually tomato with chicken and mushroom






ingredients




thin pasta (eg spaghetti or angel's hair) enough for two


cooking oil


3 cloves of garlic


two handsfull of chicken, cut into small pieces


4 big dry type mushroom (such as shitake and button), sliced


1 1/2 of big sized tomatoes or 2 medium sized tomatoes thinly sliced or diced


A handfull of spinach leaves


salt


1 tablespoon dried oregano leaves






direction




cook the pasta according to the package direction


heat the oil in a pan


saute the sliced garlic


put in the chicken and let it cook


add the mushroom


add the tomatoes. let it simmer for three minutes


add the spinach leaves


let it simmer for about five minutes before adding salt and oregano leaves


put in the pasta and toss






tasty to be enjoyed warm

Bakso





resepi yang didapati dari bibik maklong... setiap kali ke Johor pasti akan mengharap agar dapat menikmati masakan ini. kali ini saya sudah tidak perlu ke Johor unutk menikmati bakso...



Bahan2

Potongan tulang
Bebola daging
Bawang merah dan bawang putih
Halia
Buah keras (1.5 biji) ; dihiris
Buah pala (1 biji); diketuk dan diambil bijinya
Ketumbar (+- 1 1/2 sudu besar)
Lada putih (+- 1 1/2 sudu besar)
Daun bawang (+-4 tangkai)
Mee/kuey teow/bihun (2 plastik mee/kuey teow, 1 plastik bihun)
Kobis (1/6 kobis)
Sawi (4)
Sambal kicap
Sos cili


Kaedah

Rebus tulang dalam periuk bertekanan tinggi selama 5 jam atau dalam periuk biasa selam yang anda mampu (sehingga daging lembut)
Masukkan bebola daging
Tumis bawang dan halia bersama-sama hingga naik bau dan keluarkan dan tumbuk hingga lumat atau kisar
Buat perkara yang sama pada buah keras dan buah pala serta pada ketumbar dan lada putih.
Pisahkan daun bawang kepada dua bahagian: bahagian putih dan bahagian daun. Hiris dan tumis keduanya secara asing.
Dalam periuk lain, tumis bahan2 yang telah dikisar serta bahagian putih daun bawang hingga naik bau.
Masukkan rebusan daging dan dagingnya sekali.
Masukkan garam dan gula secukup rasa.
Masukkan daun bawang bahagian hijau yang telah ditumis.
Celur mee/kuey teow/bihun .
Hiris kobis.
Celur dan hiris sawi
Buat bawang goreng
Buat sambal kicap (tumbuk 1 ulas bawang putih bersama-sama 10 biji cili padi, tambahkan kicap)

Untuk makan, masukkan dulu mee dan sayur yang dikehendaki ke dalam mangkuk. Tambah sambal kicap dan sos cili secukup rasa. Tambahkan kuah yang panas. Biarkan sebentar agar mee dan kuah sebati. Selamat menikmati. (",)v

Kuey Teow Ladna


the recipe is divided to two parts:
the kuey teow and the gravy (kuah)



kuey teow ingredients

4 table spoon oil
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 packet of kuey teow
5 tablespoon oyster sauce
5 tablespoon soy sauce


direction

soak the kuey teow in warm water while untangling the noodle, sieve the kuey teow
heat the oil in pan
saute the garlic till fragrant
put in oyster sauce and soy sauce
put in the kuey teow


kuah ingredient

3 tablespoon cooking oil
4 shallots, sliced
protein source; eg shrimp and cuttlefish
vegetables; eg carrot and cabbages
shrimp stock
4-5 Birds eye chili (cili padi), slightly crushed
2-3 kaffir lime leaves
1-2 tablespoon cornflour
salt to taste

direction

heat oil in pot
saute shallot till fragrant
cook the protein source
put in the vegetable
add the stock
add the pepper and the kaffir lime leaves. let it boil for a while
melt the cornflour in plain water and add to the pot
add salt according to taste.


to eat, put some of the kuey teow in a bowl and pour the hot kuah on top. Let it cool for a while and enjoy... (",)v

shepherd pie





These few years I tried a recipe of so-called shepherd pie. Here is the recipe that I’ve taken from the internet:
Shepherd pie

Ingredients
• 2 pounds potatoes, such as russet, peeled and cubed
• 2 tablespoons sour cream or softened cream cheese
• 1 large egg yolk
• 1/2 cup cream, for a lighter version substitute vegetable or chicken broth
• Salt and freshly ground black pepper
• 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, 1 turn of the pan
• 1 3/4 pounds ground beef or ground lamb
• 1 carrot, peeled and chopped
• 1 onion, chopped
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
• 1 cup beef stock or broth
• 2 teaspoons Worcestershire, eyeball it
• 1/2 cup frozen peas, a couple of handfuls
• 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
• 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves

Directions


Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 12 minutes. Drain potatoes and pour them into a bowl. Combine sour cream, egg yolk and cream. Add the cream mixture into potatoes and mash until potatoes are almost smooth.
While potatoes boil, preheat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add oil to hot pan with beef or lamb. Season meat with salt and pepper. Brown and crumble meat for 3 or 4 minutes. If you are using lamb and the pan is fatty, spoon away some of the drippings. Add chopped carrot and onion to the meat. Cook veggies with meat 5 minutes, stirring frequently. In a second small skillet over medium heat cook butter and flour together 2 minutes. Whisk in broth and Worcestershire sauce. Thicken gravy 1 minute. Add gravy to meat and vegetables. Stir in peas.
Preheat broiler to high. Fill a small rectangular casserole with meat and vegetable mixture. Spoon potatoes over meat evenly. Top potatoes with paprika and broil 6 to 8 inches from the heat until potatoes are evenly browned. Top casserole dish with chopped parsley and serve.

Here are what that I’ve did (some edition) to the recipe.
1) I put no cream what so ever that comes from an animal for the “2 tablespoon of cream or cream cheese” but I replace it with some santan. To be frank: where do you find cream that you’re only going to use 2 tablespoon?
2) As it doesn’t tell whether to use butter at room temperature or melted butter. Better to use melted butter, but remember to prepare everything early before attempting to start on the gravy... you could easily burn it.
3) I never will use peas.. I’ve change it with diced carrots and celery.
4) For the Worcestershire sauce, I use oyster sauce.
5) Don’t add to much water in your meat and gravy, it’ll make the pie soggy and harder to manage.
6) Add a lot of black pepper for better taste-but not until it is tasted like black pepper pie.

• 2 lb kentang, dikupas dan didadu
• 2 sudu besar krim masam atau krim keju
• 1 bj telur kuning
• ½ cwn cream, atau untuk versi lebih ringan, gantikan dengan rebusan ayam
• Garam dan serbuk lada hitam segar
• 1 sudu besar minyak
• 1 ¾ lb daging kisar
• 1 lobak merah, didadu
• 1 bawang merah didadu
• 2 sudu besar mentega
• 2 sudu besar tepung
• 1 cwn air rebusan daging
• 2 sudu kecik sos Worcestershire
• ½ cwn kacang beku
• 1 sudu kecil paprika manis
• 2 sudu besar daun parsley, dicincang


Kaedah

Rebus kentang di dalm air bergaram. Toskan apabila sudah lembut. Dalam sebuah mangkuk gabung krim masam, telur kuning dan cream. Lenyekkan hingga hancur

Sedang kentang direbus, panaskan minyak di dalam kuali.
Masukan daging dan masak hingga perang. Jika ada lemak, anda bolehlah membuangnye sebelum ke arahan seterusnya. Tambah garam dan serbuk lada hitam. Masukkan lobak dan bawang. Masak untuk lebih kurang 5 minit.

Di dalam periuk lain, cairkan mentega dan masukkan tepung dan dimasak bersama. Masukkan air rebusan daging dan sos Worcestershire. Kacau sebentat hingga pekat. Masukkan kuah tepung ke dalam daging. Biar masak.

Panaskan oven ke suhu tinggi.

Tuang daging ke dalam bekas tahan bakar. Ratakan. Tuang kentang putar. Boleh dipaip kalau mahu.
Tabur paprika dan bakar selama 5 minit hingga perang. Hias dengan daun parsley



Apa yang saya tukar dari resepi:


1- Saya gantikan krim masam atau kerim keju ke santan.
2- Saya hanya guna 1 jenis air rebusan
3- Saya gantikan sos Worcestershire dengan sos tiram
4- Saya gantikan kacang pis ke seleri
5- Saya tidak gunakan paprika.
6- Sediakan bahan2 sebelum mula memasak, takut hangus
7- Kurangkan air agar lebih mudah diuruskan nanti
8- Bagi saya lebihkan lada hitam dalam
daging memberi rasa yang lebih sedap.

Choc cake yummy! *sigh*






comfirm best...


Ingredient
7 ½ oz butter

10 oz sugar

4 eggs

8 oz flour

2 oz cocoa powder

3 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon bicarbonate soda

1 1/3 cup fresh milk



Direction

Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and bicarbonate soda. Sieve them 3 times. Put them aside.

Cream the butter and the sugar. Put in egg one by one.


Fold in the flour mixture little by little with alternation with milk and ending with flour.


Bake in medium heat until the toothpick comes out clean (About 1 1/2 hour). Let it cools before glazing.


For the choc glaze, the recipe stated to double boil it with 1 can of reduced cream, but what I did was double boil the cooking choc with milk, and when the choc has melted, I add about a tablespoon of butter to give the glaze some shine. Let the glaze settle a bit before pouring on top of the cake. The cake can be enjoyed with milk and; as stated in the pic: with tea..

masukkan tepung sedikit demi sedikit menggunakan senduk kayu dan digilirkan dengan susu. pastikan giliran yang akhir adalah tepung.
bakar dengan suhu sederhana di dalam oven hingga pencungkil keluar bersih apabila dicucuk
sejukkan diatas para
untuk glaze coklat; cairkan coklat masakan diatas air yang sedang mendidih diatas api. tambah sedikit susu. apabila coklat sudah cair, masukkan sedikit mentega untuk berikan coklat kilatan.

Kuih Kompleng (cornflake chews) hehehe







This recipe has been the crown and glory of maklong's. No one can do it as good as she does.. even if we take the formula.. still it doesn't stop me from trying...




Ingredients


a) 350g of cornflake (lightly crunched)


b) 5 tablespoon of sugar


c) 7 tablespoon of butter


d) 7 tablespoon of honey


e) garnish; such as nut flake, sprinkle, cherry..(optional)


f) paper cups




Direction


-prepare the ingredients before starting the cooking process


-melt the sugar on a low heat


-add the butter and honey. make sure they are properly melted before adding the garnish. be fast and stir constantly to avoid over carmalized and it become bitter.


-put in the cornflake and fold to ensure every flake is covered with the sugar


-remove the cornflake from the heat


-put the cornflake into papercups garnish with sprinkle


-bake in low heat until you see the papercups shrink back a little


-lets it cool before handling

hancurkan sedikit cornflake agar lebih mudah diuruskan. letak tepi sebentar



sediakan semua bahan sebelum mula mencairkan gula.

tambah madu dan mentega



tambahkan kacang



tambah cornflake, gaul rata



tutup api, tuang cornflake kedalam bekas lain untuk mengelakkan gula hangus di dalam periuk panas



tuang ke dalam cawan kertas



tuang sprinkle atau choc rice jika mahu



bakar didalam oven atau microwave dengan suhu rendah selama kurang dari 5 min.



biarkan sejuk sebelum makan

Choc chip cookie :)





Ingredients




a) 125g butter-room tempreture


b) 1/2 cup of brown sugar


c) 1/2 cup of granulated sugar


d) 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence


e) 1 egg (lightly beaten)


f) 2 cup of self rising flour


g) 1/2 teaspoon of salt


h) 125 g of choc chip (semisweet)


i) walnut (optional)




Direction




- preheat the oven to 150F


- cream together butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar and vanilla essence


- add the egg


- fold in the flour and the salt


- add the choc chip and the nut. fold


- dallop some batter onto the baking pan. amount depending on the size and thickness of cookie that you want


- bake for about 15-20 minutes or until turn light brown.


can be enjoyed with milk.. (",)v

letak sejemput tepung di atas dulang mengikut saiz dan ketebalan biskut yang anda mahu
jarakkan tepung untuk memberi ruang biskut mengembang

bakar selama 15-20 minit atau hingga berwarna keperangan

Kimbab





basic sushi? hehe you just need:


a) sesame oil


b) hot rice


c) mayonese


d) a pinch of salt


e) sheets of dried seaweed


f) protein source; such as omelet (cut long) or fish (also cut long)


g) carrot (cut long and boil)




Add the oil, salt and mayonese to the hot rice.. mix them together..add according to your taste, so add a little at a time.


Spread the rice on the seaweed sheet.


Arrange the carrot, eggs so it will be allign to the edge of the sheet neerest to you.


Slowly and carefully start to roll the sheet starting from the edge neerest to you.


After finishing, the sushi will look like a long tube.


Cut it to the thickness that you like.


You can even add minced vegetable to the rice or even sesame seed. It can give an extra points to the dish

Corn porridge






Ingredients:
Corn, about 3 cobs
1 coconut milk
Sugar
Pandan leaf
Hot water
A pinch of salt

Direction:
1) Separate the corn kernel from the cob.
2) Boil the water in a pot. Add the corn. Boil for about 5 minutes.
3) Add the coconut milk and the pandan leaf. Remember to reduce the heat to low and constant stirring are needed
4) Add the salt
5) When you have achieved the tenderness that you prefer, add the sugar to your liking.

apabila jagung sudah lembut, masukkan gula secukup rasa

Caramel pudding




Ingredients:
8 eggs
3 tablespoon of custard powder
1 liter of fresh milk
1  small can full of sweet condensed milk
1 can full of evaporated milk
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of hot boiling water

Direction:
a) Caramel:
1) In a clean pot, melt the sugar on low heat; stir occasionally.
2) When you have reached the color and smell of the caramel that is suitable for you, get the cup of hot water (this have burning hazard, be ready to run when doing this, ensure the area are secure from children) pour half of the hot water and distance yourself until the sugar have settle. Add the rest of the hot water and stir. The hot water will ensure the caramel will not turn from perfect to charcoal within seconds. Now you can leave it over low heat while occasional stirring.
b) Put the rest of the ingredients in a big bowl. Sieve the eggs before adding two at a time. Dissolve the custard powder in a separated bowl using some of the milk from the mix.
c) Sieve the mix to throw out any impurities and inconsistence, especially from the egg white.
d) Pour some caramel in a bowl, until the caramel is about 5 mm if looked from the side. Add the pudding mix until it is about 2/3 full.
e) Steam the pudding for a bout 10 minutes, or until the top is almost set.
f) Let cool before eating. Nice to eat chilled. Can be garnished with fresh fruits.

cairkan gula diatas api kecil. sedia dengan air panas. apabila anda mendapat warna yang anda inginkan, tuang air panas ke dalam gula cair dan segera lari. (jika tidak dimasukkan air panas, gula akan cepat hangus dan kering, tapi jika masuk air panas, gula meletup ketika air panas dituang)

sementara itu, larutkan tepung kastard dengan susu segar.
gabung semua bahan ke dalam sebuah mangkuk besar. tapis gabungan susu dan telur untuk menghilangkan ketulan.
tuang sedikit karemel di dalam bekas dan tuang susu ke dalam bekas.
kukus hingga hampir keras; dalam lingkungan 10 minit
biar sejuk sebelum dinikmati. sedap juga dinikmati dengan buah segar

pie crust

Pie crust is a must for most pies, tarts and even quiche. Here is a basic pie crust recipe that you may use for your pie.

Ingredients:

1) 2 ¾ cups of all purpose flour

2) 1 cup butter, cold and diced to small cubes, about ½ inch keep in fridge before use

3) 1 teaspoon of salt

4) 1 teaspoon of sugar (if you’re making sweet pie filling)

5) 4 – 8 tablespoon of ice-cold water


Direction:
1) If you have food processor; you can use that. If you don’t; you can always use your hands. Combine the flour, salt and sugar (if needed).

2) Add butter and water; pausing 6 to 8 times until the mixture resembles something like course meat with pea sized rubble. If you’re using hands, crumble and mix with your hands the butter with the flour, while minimizing the butter melt from the heat of your hands.

3) Gently shape the dough to a ball and wrap it into a cling wrap and put it into the fridge for at least 5 minutes to allow it to cool.

4) Layer the rolling board with cling wrap and sprinkle with flour. Put 1/3 of the dough on the sprinkled flour and sprinkle some more flour on top of the dough. Put another cling wrap on top of the dough and start rolling it with a rolling pin. Occasionally lift the cling wrap to reduce the dough stuck under the cling wrap. Sprinkle some more flour if you feel the dough need it.

5) When you have achieve the thickness and the width that you want, take-off the top cling wrap and lift the dough together with the bottom cling wrap still attached to the dough; the cling wrap will prevent the dough from crumbling while you put the dough to the pie pan. Turn the dough upside down so the cling wrap will be on top and the bottom is bare from any cling wrap. Center the dough and line it to the pie pan. Ensure every nook and cranny was covered by the dough. Remove the cling wrap and cut away the excess dough at the edge of the pie pan.

6) Fill at least 1/3 of pan with beans or glass beads and bake the crust in a preheat oven until golden brown.

7) Remove the beans and let the crust cool for about 5 minutes before putting in the fillings.





Bahan2:
a) 2 3/4 cawan tepung gandum
b) 1 cawan mentega, sejuk, didadu kecil (simpan di dalam peti sejuk sebelum digunakan)
c) 1 sudu teh garam
d) 1 sudu teh gula (jika anda membuat pai manis)
e) 4-8 sudu makan air sejuk

Kaedah:
1) Jika anda mempunyai mesin pengadun, anda boleh menggunakan nya, tapi, jika tidak, anda boleh menggaul dengan tangan anda. Gabungkan tepung dengan garam dan gula (jika diperlukan)
2) Tambah mentega dan air sejuk, gaul hingga sebatian menjadi seperti ketulan2 kecil. cuba untuk mengurangkan pencairan mentega.
3) bentukkan menjadi sebiji bola, balut dengan plastik "cling wrap" dan dimasukkan ke dlam peti sejuk untuk sekurang-kurangnya 5 minit.
4) letakkan doh diantara 2 lapisan plastik "cling wrap" dan uli doh. angkat plastik "cling wrap" yang atas pada bila masa anda perasan plastik perlu dibetulkan.
5) apabila anda sudah mencapai ketebalan yang anda mahukan, angkat lapisan atas plastik, dan dengan berhati2, terbalikkan doh yang sudah dileperkan ke dalam loyang. pastikan setiap sudut loyang dilitupi. buang lebihan doh. 
6) buat lubang2 kecil pada dasar "crust" dan masukkan bebola kaca kecil atau kacang hingga memenuhi 1/3 tinggi loyang
7) bakar hingga perang keemasan.
8) biar sejuk sekurang-kurangnya 5 minit sebelum digunakan. 

beef stew







Ingredients:
• 2 pounds lean stew beef
• 1 cup chopped onions
• ½ teaspoon of powdered allspice
• 2 to 3 teaspoons vegetable oil
• 1 can (approx. 10 1/2 ounces) condensed beef broth
• hot water
• 3 cups diced potatoes
• 2 cups diced carrots
• 1 stalk celery, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
• 2 tablespoons flour
• 1/3 cup cold water
• black pepper and seasoned salt to taste



Preparation:
1) Cut the beef into cube of about 1 inch.
2) In a big pot, heat the oil. Add the beef, the spice and the onion. Cook over medium heat until the meat is browned and the onions are tender.
3) Add the beef broth and hot water until the fluid level in the pot was raised to about 1 inch above the meat. Cover the pot, reduce the heat to low and leave for 1 ½ to 2 hours or until the meat is tender.
4) Add the potatoes, carrots and celery. Cover and stir occasionally for about 30 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
5) Combine the flour with the cold water; stir until smooth. Gently stir in the flour mixture into the pot, combining a little at a time.
6) Add pepper and salt to taste.

daging didadu 1inci
dalam periuk besar, masak daging, rempah dan bawang. masakatas api sederhana hingga daging berwarna perang dan bawang menjadi lembut
tambah air rebusan dan air panas hingga air lebih tinggi dari daging lebih kurang 1 inci. tutup periuk, perlahankan api dan reneh hingga 1 1/2 jam
tambah kentang, seleri dan lobak. renehkan lagi 30 minit
larutkan tepung dalam air. kacau air tepung ke dalam stew.
tambah garam dan serbuk lada hitam mengikut kegemaran

Quiche

Quiche is a type of open pie that came from French.. Any meat or vegetable can be put into the pie.. Here are the one that I've made; with meat, mushroom and spinach.








Ingredient :


a) shallot; about 4 cloves, minced

b) meat; about 1 cup of very small cut.

c) mushroom; about 1 and 1/2 cup of small cut mushroom. (please don't use the ones canned)

d) 4 large eggs

e) 1 cup of skimmed milk

f) salt and pepper

g) cheese, you can even use cheddar

h) 3 tablespoon of olive oil

i) A big tomato, sliced.

i) pie crust




Direction:


1) Preheat the oven to about 350 degrees


2) Spread the pie crust onto a pie pan. Blind bake it for 15 minutes. after removing the beans; bake it again for another 5 minutes or until brown. Cool the crust on a rack.


3) For the fillings, heat the oil in a pan and saute the shallot until fragrant and translucent.


4) Add the meat and let the juice runs and cook until it dry.


5) Add the mushroom, let the juice runs and cook until it dry and the mushroom browned.


6) Add the spinach until soften. let the filling cools


7) Sprinkle a thin layer of cheese into the bottom of the pie crust, then followed by the filling then another layer of the cheese.


8) In another bowl, break the eggs and add the milk, salt and pepper. beat until smooth.


9) Pour the egg mixture into the pie crust. put the slices of tomatoes on top.


10) Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the center is almost firmed. Let the quiche cool on a rack.

masukkan daun bayam, masak hingga lembut. telak tepi, biarkan sejuk sebentar


campur telur dan susu, pukul hingga sebati, masukkan garam dan lada hitam secukup rasa


taburkan separuh dari keju di dalam bekas kerak pai.

bakar selama 30-35 minit hingga jika dicucuk dengan pencungkil gigi, keluar dengan bersih

brownies...



what you need:


a) 6 Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa
b) 1/4 Cup Butter
c) 1 Cup Sugar
d) 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
e) 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
f) 1/3 Cup Flour
g) 2 Eggs
h) 1 Cup Toasted walnuts

direction:

A) Melt the 1/4 cup of butter (make sure that the butter is completely melted, otherwise it will not mix in with the other ingredients, and you will have to start over).
B) Then stir this into the 6 Tablespoons of Unsweetened Cocoa.

C) Combine in the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, flour and salt. mix thoroughly


D) add the nuts


E) for the baking pan, cover the surface with butter and flour to keep the brownies from sticking to the pan.

F) pour the batter into the baking pan

G) After your oven has preheated to 325F, put the brownies into the oven for 35-40 minutes. Poke your brownies with a toothpick. If the tooth pick comes out clean, your brownies are done! Now, take them out of the oven and let them cool until slightly warm.

H) cut them and enjoy! goes very nice with a glass of milk. (",)v

cabonara sauce for pasta.. mmm




What you need:

• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• source of protein, such as prawns, preferably cured meat such as sausages and pepperoni.

-mushroom such as fresh button and shitake
• 1 garlic clove, crushed and chopped
• 300 g/10 oz pasta
• 4 tablespoons double cream
• 3 egg yolks
• cheese; according to your liking. Parmesan would be nice, but you can even use cheddar if you like
• salt and pepper

-parsley

Direction:

1- in one bowl, put in the egg yolk, cheese and cream. whisk everything nicely.
2- cook the pasta until al dente. drain well and put aside the pasta water from the boiling.
3- heat the oil in a pan and saute the garlic.
4- add in the prawns. cook until they turns red.

5- add the mushroom, cook until soften
5- turn the heat to low and add the pasta water. add the egg-cream-cheese mixture and cook slowly and stir constantly.
6- add the salt and pepper according to your taste.
7- put in chopped parsley.

8-pour the sauce on warm pasta and enjoy...

ps: dont use too much cheese; it is to give flavouring..not overwhelming it. if you use sliced cheddar, use about 3-4 slice max for every 4 tabllespoon of cream.

masukkan parsley yang dicincang
tuang kuah ke atas pasta panas.

I took this recipe from martha stewart's page.. it may be a bit dense and moist.. but you can't deny it can catch your breath..

what you need:

• 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
• 1 cup sugar
• 3 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/2 cup sour cream

Direction

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 12-cup standard muffin tin with paper liners.

2. Into a medium bowl, sift together cocoa, flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each, then beat in vanilla. With mixer on low speed, add flour mixture in two batches, alternating with sour cream and beginning and ending with flour.

3. Pour batter into cups, filling each 3/4 full. Bake until a toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean, 20 to 25 minutes.

4. Cool in pan 5 minutes; transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

tuang ke dalam cawan kertas dengan ketinggian 3/4 dari cawan kertas
bakar dalm lingkungan 20-25 minit atau hingga pencungkil gigi yang dicucuk keluar bersih
biar sejuk
boleh dihias atau makan begitu sahaja

magnet for bugs..

hate it or not, I've realized that i have become a magnet for bugs..




I realize that somehow my blood have always been the prefered blood by mosquitoes compared to the others around me.. it is quit frustrating sometimes.. and itchy..



nowadays there are always bees hovering to the lamp at my room.. one day one of those bees sit ontop of my hair.. when I asked my room-mate to help it get out, the bee goes even deeper into my hair..thank God that the bee stayed near to my ear so Humm can help me throw it out..




I was standing near a patient in ward 4c at HTAA while discussing with some juniors from Shahputra when suddenly I heard someone said "look!" . There was this moth on my shoulder and it walk up to my head before flying back to the open sky...

Meaning of Friends...


even if we're just seperated.. I'll always count the time till we meet again..

Alhamdulillah


I was sighing one hot day on everything isn’t going my way…

when suddenly I realize; why should I be sighing when i have a lot to be grateful for…

I have a family that is still together even after a rough storm…

I have nice room-mates that helps me in my good and my bad moods

I have friends that are willing to help even in the most ridiculous demands

I have good limbs and face and organ..( I’m not cripple.. no?)

I still manage to eat and drink and feel hungry and feel sleepy and feel… (fill in the blanks with any feelings you want, all is possible)

I live in a country that, even if not so political stable, at least we are not in a war where we don’t dare to let the children go out from the house

I felt the love from those who left me… even if they are not on the earth anymore, they still have a place in my heart..

I still have faith, that maybe not as strong as the sahabiah’s, still have a certain strength.

I still have….

I can’t write anymore… or not it’ll be too much…

So to all my friends, in time of needs, remember that we still have a lot to be thankful for…

First few days at the state Che Wan Kembang

Upon arriving here, I have to admit that we’re very excited regardless of the exhaustion. That not long our luner (lunch + diner), we headed to Mydin and find reasons for spending our money, and plenty of reasons (if you look upon it). It is going to be hard restraining our self…

Tour de HUSM
After the briefing given by the Asst. Director of HUSM, we’re given a small tour around the medical center. As only a few are allowed to enter in a time, we spend our free moments with poses in front of the lens.. hehehe

How to make your own teddy bear?







What you need:
1) Old t-shirts
2) A good pair of scissors
3) Pins
4) Buttons (4 according to the color of your bear, 2 for the eyes)
5) Unpicker (to open wrong stitches; if you never got a wrong stitches in your life, then you don’t need one)
6) Thread
7) Stuffing
8) Bear pattern. (I got this from the internet)

Instruction to make:
1) Cut the t-shirts according to the patterns

2) For the paws, legs and ears; you can use one design of t-shirt or you can also give some more color

3) For the head, attach the gusset to he side head. Remember to give enough space for the head to be sewn to the body.

4) Sew the belly and butt before attaching them together.

5) You can either attach the head to the body first or the paws and legs first to the body.

6) To attach the paws or the legs, stuff in some stuffing to the end of the paw or leg

7) Sew a button to the paw or leg

8) Attach that part to the body and reinforce with a number of sewing.

9) Finish attaching all the paws and legs

10) To attach the ears, roll some stuffing before inserting to the ear.

11) Sew the front of the ears first

12) Then the back.

13) Sew the eyes. You can use special
eye button or any dark colored button for the eye.

Finish! You can use the bear just as it is or you can add a ribbon to decorate it.
